Detlef Carstens has been with us from the beginning. For many years he was the honorary treasurer of the association. He has been an honorary member of tekom since 2012. Other employees of CARSTENS + PARTNER contribute to the work of tekom through voluntary activities in committees, through technical contributions to the trade journal Technische Kommunikation and through presentations and workshops at tekom conferences.
INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES MUNICH
The University of Applied Sciences Munich is Bavaria’s largest university of it’s type and the second largest in Germany. The Technical Writing and Communication degree program offered here helps train the next generation of technical writers (m/f/x). The Technical Writing and Communication degree program is offered as a full-time program. The standard period of study is 7 semesters. The semesters consist of 6 theoretical semesters (including Bachelor thesis) and one practical semester.
The Technical Writing and Communication program provides students with a solid understanding of technology. You will get to know the world of automotive engineering, the electronics in household appliances or the controls of machines. In addition, you will learn about software products from the ground up in order to guide users in the use of the software.
CARSTENS + PARTNER supports the university in the context of training. We contribute our professional and didactic expertise by offering traineeships during the studies. Trainees and working students will find interesting tasks and topics for an initial orientation of the direction of their subsequent professional life.

HELLABRUNN ZOO
Even a zoo and its animals need supporters. Detlef Carstens is passionate about everything do with owls. It is his lifelong hobby. With an animal sponsorship for barn owls, Mr. Carstens has supported the work of the Hellabrunn zoo for many years.
